Task 2 Question Types

In the IELTS Academic Writing Task 2, you are asked to write an essay in response to a point of view, argument, or problem. Understanding the different types of questions can help you prepare and structure your essay effectively. Here are the main types of questions you might encounter:

1. Opinion (Agree or Disagree)
   You need to express whether you agree or disagree with a given statement and justify your viewpoint.
2. Advantages and Disadvantages

3. Discussion (Discuss both views)

5. Two-part Questions
   In this type of question, you are given two related questions. The first part might ask for your opinion on a topic, and the second part might ask you to suggest solutions or outcomes related to the topic.
6. Cause and Effect
   This type asks you to discuss the reasons for a phenomenon and the results that stem from it.
